Summer Orientation

If you are taking an academic course for the first time or are taking an online course for the first time, you are strongly encouraged to attend an Orientation session.  Though not mandatory for returning students, it is available as a resource. Returning students and their families are also encouraged to attend!

Students must have claimed and activated the new "Alabama" account prior to orientation!

Students should receive a claim code to activate the new account. That email will go to the personal email we have on file. If you haven't claimed your account, look for an email from "noreply@rapididentity.com" and follow the instructions. Be sure to check your Spam/Junk folder!

Once you have that set up, you will use that "@alabama.edu" account to log into the Coyote Hub to access Canvas for classes. Students will need to check both email accounts regularly until we have moved entirely to the new system. You can also try the "Forgot Password" link on the Hub. www.coastalalabama.edu/students The student's A-Number@alabama.edu is the new username! For example: A01234567@alabama.edu

If all of the above does not work, then the student will need to contact the help desk. The student must email the help desk using the "@student.coastalalabama.edu" email. Once in the Coastal email, send a message to them requesting a new claim code. Include the A Number and a good personal email address when requesting a new claim code.

Go to Coastal Alabama's website, click the "I am looking for" drop box. Select "Student Email" and log in to the @student.coastalalabama.edu account. If the password doesn't work click "reset password" and follow the instructions.

Coastal Alabama Help Desk: 251-580-4900 or helpdesk@coastalalabama.edu.
