Oct 6th, 2021 Featured
The Miss Coastal Alabama Community College Pageant is set for Sunday, Oct. 10, and this year’s stellar event will be hosted by the reigning Miss Alabama, Lauren Bradford.
The pageant is a tremendous scholarship opportunity, open to current, full-time Coastal Alabama Community College students with a 2.5 GPA or higher. It is an official preliminary for the Miss America Organization, and participants compete in Interview, Evening Gown, and Talent competitions. Miss Coastal Alabama contestants will be given the chance to earn scholarships, promote their platform, and compete at the Miss Alabama Competition in June.
The overall winner receives a full tuition scholarship to Coastal Alabama Community College, a housing stipend, 15 hours per week employment with the college’s Admissions office, a travel stipend, and an image consulting session.
The event will also include the Miss Coastal Alabama Teen Pageant, which is open to teens age 13 to 17 who will compete in Interview, Evening Gown, Fitness, and 90-second Talent categories.
It is an honor for this year’s pageants to be hosted by Miss Alabama Lauren Bradford, a Vanderbilt University student who hails from Gulf Shores. She was crowned in June, where she bested nearly 40 other contestants.
The Miss Coastal Alabama Community College will be held at the Performing Arts Center on the Bay Minette campus, starting at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend. For more information, visit www.coastalalabama.edu/campus-life/miss-coastal-alabama.
