Coastal Alabama Students Collaborate with International Violinist Abigail Stahlschmidt to Create 3D-Animated Music Video

Students in both the Animation & VFX and Dynamic Reality Technologies programs at Coastal Alabama Community College are set to premiere a 3D-Animated music video at the Fairhope Campus’ Art Show on May 6, 2022 featuring the music of composer, performer, & international electric violinist, Abigail Stahlschmidt, and composer & engineer, Mike Bailey.

Set in a stunning futuristic environment, this unique music video tells the story of a struggle between man and machine for Coastal Alabama’s first ever international music video. Under the direction of instructor, Steven Hussey, the students utilized state-of-the-art animation and design tools such as Unreal Game Engine, Adobe Creative Suite, Character Creator, and iClone 7. Motion- capture technology was also utilized to create detailed CG models of Abigail, and many of the students who were involved in the project.

The music video is set to premiere during the Fairhope Campus' Art Show on May 6, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  All are invited to attend.
