New Student Orientation Test
Coastal Alabama Community College is excited to welcome all first-time freshmen for Fall 2025 with a new two-part Student Orientation! The orientation experience—Advise and Thrive Registration Days and Coyote Kickoff—provides essential tools, resources, and community connections to set students up for success.
Part I: "Advise & Thrive" Registration Day
The first step in becoming a Coastal Alabama student, Advise & Thrive Registration Days, is a student-only session focused on academic preparedness and course registration. Each session is limited to 30 students and includes:
- Check-in and welcome session
- A one-on-one advising session with course registration
- Campus resources overview
Sessions will be available across all Coastal campuses and invitations will be sent to accepted students in mid-April. To register, students must log into their admissions portal and choose an available session.

Part II: Coyote Kickoff – What it Means to be a YOTE!
Once students are registered, they and their families are invited back for Coyote Kickoff on August 14 at all Coastal Alabama campuses! This event will provide an exciting introduction to student life and campus resources. Activities include:
- A free Yotes t-shirt and welcome festivities
- Quick info sessions on student involvement and success strategies
- Campus Open Houses: Meet student leaders, faculty, and student services staff
- Self-Guided Campus Tours: Explore key buildings and resources with your class schedule
Coyote Kickoff is a drop-in event with no signup required, and guests should plan to be on campus for 1-2 hours.
