Where You'll Thrive Videos Honored at Mobile Bay ADDY Awards
Feb 20th, 2025 Featured

Coastal Alabama Community College’s Marketing Director, Lloyd Wing, and John Thompson, Owner and Sole Proprietor of EyeOn Digital, attended the Mobile Bay Chapter of the American Advertising Awards on February 19, 2025. Despite entering just two submissions, Coastal Alabama and EyeOn Digital walked away with multiple top honors at the prestigious event.
The two submissions—The Thrive Video Campaign in the Online Video Campaign category and The Yotee Origin Story in the Online Video Single Spot category—each earned Gold ADDY Awards in their respective categories. The Thrive Video Campaign was further recognized as a Judge’s Choice selection, an honor awarded to standout entries personally chosen by the judging panel.
The highlight of the night came when the Yotee Origin Story was announced as Best in Show, the highest award given at the competition. This achievement underscores the creativity and dedication of Coastal Alabama’s Marketing Team and EyeOn Digital, as they competed against four-year universities, corporations, and national marketing firms. Notably, the Thrive and Yotee videos were developed by just a four-person team, a testament to the ingenuity and resourcefulness behind the project.
Both award-winning entries will now advance to the AAF District 7 American Advertising Awards, where they will compete against winners from Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, and Tennessee.
Each year, the Mobile Bay Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) recognizes outstanding creative work in the region. Founded in 1948, AAF Mobile Bay remains one of the longest-standing chapters in AAF District 7. The American Advertising Awards, the industry’s largest competition, attracts more than 25,000 entries annually across its three-tier national structure, celebrating excellence in advertising at the local, district, and national levels.
